Administrative Growth:
The Principal Quality Practice Guideline
I am a life-long learner. I am excited about new ways to teach and have embraced opportunities to improve my teaching. I have taken on a new, exciting and challenging role as a school leader in GPCSD, specifically Assistant Principal.
"The principal is an accomplished teacher who practices quality leadership in the provision of opportunities for optimum learning and development of all students in the school." Principal Quality Practice as defined by Alberta Education.
The seven Leadership Dimensions are:
Fostering Effective Relationships
Embodying Visionary Leadership
Leading a Learning Community
Providing Instructional Leadership
Developing and Facilitating Leadership
Managing School Operations and Resources
Understanding and Responding to the Larger Societal Context
Because of the blessed opportunity to work in Catholic Schools, Faith Leadership is a vital dimension to include.
As I learn, grow and self reflect, I will add evidence and my thoughts on each dimension.
